Oh, hello there sweet lips. :)

Love this pic! Ha!

It's Thursday, March 31, 2011, and that can only mean one thing! AHHH!!!! It's Jennifer Nettles day! I'm so excited to see her speak at the Writers Festival at Agnes Scott tonight. I can't wait. I'm not a writer. I don't currently attend Agnes Scott and I never plan to, but I am oh-so thankful that they invited her to speak tonight! I can't wait! It's supposed to last from 8 until 11, so I hope that means she will be speaking or *fingers crossed* singing...for that entire time. I have so much crap going on in my life right now, but this event tonight has definitely put a smile on my face! I'm so happy! AHHH!!

Ok, that's all for now, but I will be sure to add more to this blog AFTER the event.

I went to Ashley's tonight for the weekly Bible study/small group discussion. Tonights discussion was about time - Using it wisely, consecutively. And how doing unimportant things with your time only add up to zero. One example Andy gave on the video was that if you choose to do other things for a month that you think are important at the time, other than exercising, then you can't decide to go to the gym one day and try to make up for the month that you missed. You decided to go out with friends, watch tv, relax on the couch for a month instead of working out and now a month has gone by and you want to make up for it in one day. You just can't. So, he applied that thought to spiritual choices we make every day. If we choose not to pray or choose not to go to church, we can't go to 3 different services on one Sunday just to try to make up for missing the last 3 weeks. You can't learn everything in one day that you would've learned at each service, each week. I guess it's more difficult for me to explain than it was for him to get his point across on the video and through the study guide. But, I did get a lot out of it and we all had a good time together. We had pizza before we started and it was yummy! And we actually left an hour earlier tonight than we did last Wednesday. Impressive. I think everyone was just exhausted and ready to get home. But it was a good night and I look forward to next week.

Today, I am thankful for being involved with the small group and having something uplifting to look forward to each week.

Missy Higgins. I love her voice. I love her lyrics. I love her live concerts. I love her new haircut (in the picture above). I love her musical talents. I simply, love her.

She's recording in Nashville right now and if I'm lucky, when I'm there in a couple of weeks she will post on Twitter where she is hanging out and Britt and I can head right over! :) That's why I also have a growing obsession with Twitter.

Today, I am thankful for musical geniuses.

It's a rainy, nasty, dreary Monday. But Charlie makes everything better! He was so pumped tonight when Britt started eating Cheese Nips. He LOVES them. He takes them out of her hand, her mouth, however he can get one he will most definitely do it! Love that kid!

Before all of the cheese nip fun, we walked/ran to the tanning bed. 4 miles total and I was pretty tired! The hills definitely suck and since we went right after I got home from work, I was exhausted before we even started. Today was a rough day at work. I know there will always be good and bad days, but I need the good to outweigh the bad. I was super busy most of the day, which makes the time go by much faster, but I just need this whole week to fly by please.

Today, I am thankful that I can walk, run and play outside because I know there are many people that can't and that makes me very, very sad.

I actually received this package on Friday. I am like a little kid at Christmas when I have packages in my mailbox. It's so exciting, even if I already know what's inside. I should start sending friends packages because I'm sure if it makes me so happy, it would make them happy. And we are all supposed to give the world a smile, right? Hmm...something to think about I guess. It would definitely be small packages, but still! A package is a package! :)
Now, for the revealing of what's inside the package. Drum roll................
Soul Miner's Daughter cd!!! YAY!!!! I now have most of Jennifer Nettle's cds prior to Sugarland. I think I have one more to buy, but it's basically all of the songs I have on the other cds already so I'm in no rush.

Today is Sunday. I didn't sleep as late as I did yesterday, but I still didn't rise and shine until 10am. Ahhh...I love the weekends. I didn't do very much today. I returned the movies from yesterday, and rented 2 more. I'm a little obsessed with Redbox. I can't help it. I watched one called "Never Let Me Go" and saved one for when Britt gets home from work called "How Do You Know?" Both were just okay. Definitely not something I would want to watch again.

Today, I am thankful for a wonderful weekend.

I love Saturdays.

I woke up at 6:00 this morning freaking out, wondering why my alarm didn't go off yet. I was searching everywhere for my phone and just couldn't find it. Then, I realized it was Saturday and I could go back to sleep. Love that feeling! So, I went back to sleep and was pretty much knocked out until 11:00. I didn't even hear Britt get ready for work or when she told me bye. Nope, nothing...I was out! When I woke up at 11, I decided that I wasn't quite ready to get up yet so I slept for another hour. Wow, I REALLY love Saturdays and I REALLY love to sleep. This day is going to be awesome.
When I finally pulled myself out of the bed, I cleaned up the apartment, had a bowl of cereal and made myself a comfy spot on the couch to watch another movie we rented last night. It was the perfect movie day because the weather was nasty and I didn't want to be out in it anyway. I watched Unstoppable, which was really good. Then, Dan in Real Life was on tv so I watched most of it as well. I really like that movie. And sometimes I feel like Dan. I also browsed YouTube for a while and waited on Britt to get home from work. I love lazy Saturdays. They rock.

When Britt got home, we watched ANOTHER movie. The Fighter was good, but it was difficult for me to get into in the beginning. Off to bed around 11. Today was awesome.

Today, I am thankful for much needed rest. I am thankful for the rain and the hope that it will wash all of the pollen away.

It's finally Friday! I have a weekend of absolutely nothing planned and I loveeee it!! Tonight, Britt and I went to good ol' College Park to meet a guy that was buying my Rockband.  He was very nice and I'm so glad I finally sold it instead of having it sit in my trunk forever. After meeting up with him, we went to Olive Garden for dinner. Yum. Yum. Yum. I can't explain how much I love this place. I know people say it's not real italian or whatever, but I love it. Always have, always will. I am in love with the salad and breadsticks. They are wonderful. And I'm pretty obsessed with the chicken parmigiana that I order every time I'm there. But the most amazing part of the meal is when I get home and I get to enjoy the black tie mousse cake that I bought to-go. A little piece of heaven on a plate. :) On the way back home we stopped by Walgreens to pick up a couple dvd's at the Redbox. The perfect end to a great evening....while I was enjoying my dessert, we watched The Switch. I love Jennifer Aniston, so any movie that she's a part of-I'm more than likely going to enjoy.
 Super cute movie!

Today, I am thankful for movie night with B and a relaxing weekend to look forward to.
